In April 2015 a new board of directors for the next four years was announced by the Minister for the Environment and Natural Resources.
Every four years the Minister nominates a new board, of which the current members are:
Sigrún Traustadóttir, business administrator, chairman of the board.
Sveinbjörn Björnsson, physicist and former rector of the University of Iceland.
Ásta Björg Pálmadóttir, chief administrative officer of the municipality of Skagafjörður.
Stefán Guðmundsson, director general in the Ministry for the Environment and Natural Resources.
Ingveldur Sæmundsdóttir, political advisor to the Minister for the Environment and Natural Resources.
Sigrún Traustadóttir and Sveinbjörn Björnsson have been board members before but the last three are new to the board.
The good work of the former board members is greatly appreciated and we look forward collaborating with the new board.
